Absolut vodka 1L bottle showing the classic blue label

Absolut has always leaned into the idea of being distilled an 'infinite number of times,' and while that's more marketing flourish than literal fact, the vodka backing it up genuinely delivers on richness and clarity in equal measure. Made from winter wheat grown around Åhus and filtered through water drawn from wells over 140 metres deep, it comes out full-bodied and complex without added sugar, carrying a distinct grain character followed by a hint of dried fruit.

FAQs

What does 'distilled an infinite number of times' mean for Absolut?

It's a brand phrase reflecting Absolut's continuous distillation process, which the company positions as delivering exceptional purity rather than referring to a literal number of distillations.

Where does Absolut Vodka's water come from?

It's sourced from local wells in Åhus, Sweden, more than 140 metres deep, filtered naturally through Swedish bedrock before use in production.

Does Absolut Vodka contain added sugar?

No — Absolut is made without any added sugar, relying purely on its winter wheat base and water source for its distinctive character.

What is the best cocktail to make with Absolut Original?

The Absolut Moscow Mule, combining vodka, fresh lime juice and ginger beer, is one of the brand's most recommended serves.

Why choose the 1 litre bottle over 70cl?

The 1 litre format offers more vodka per purchase, useful for regular drinkers, larger gatherings, or stocking a home bar without frequent repurchasing.
