A pale-pink colour sets Don Julio Rosado Reposado Tequila apart from the usual golden reposado look. This limited-edition tequila begins with blue agave from the Los Altos region of Jalisco and is rested for four months in ruby Port wine casks from Portugal’s Douro Valley. The finish contributes its delicate rosado hue and a restrained layer of red-fruit sweetness, while the agave remains central. Vanilla, honey and peppery agave appear on the nose, with creamy strawberry, raspberry, caramel and gentle cocoa notes on the palate. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl format, Don Julio Rosado is best appreciated over ice with a lemon wedge, allowing the fruit, floral lift and reposado richness to show clearly.
