Product Overview

The Nyetimber Classic Cuvée 75 cl is the flagship non‑vintage sparkling wine (12 % ABV) from one of England’s leading estate producers.Crafted exclusively from estate‑grown fruit in the south of England, it is designed to rival the finest sparkling wines in the world.

Key Features & Attributes

  • Grape Composition & Origin: A classic English sparkling blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The exact proportions vary but are typically around 50–60 % Chardonnay, 30–40 % Pinot Noir, and 10–20 % Pinot Meunier.

  • Terroir & Estate: Grapes are grown on south‑facing chalk and greensand soils in the vineyards of West Sussex (and Hampshire/Kent) under the Nyetimber estate programme. Each parcel is hand‑harvested and processed with meticulous attention.

  • Production Method: Made using the traditional method (méthode traditionnelle): secondary fermentation in bottle, extended ageing on the lees (typically more than three years) and subsequent disgorgement/reserve wine blending to create complexity.

  • Appearance & Style: The wine presents a pale golden hue with fine, persistent bubbles — reflecting finesse and quality mousse.

  • Tasting Profile:

    • Aromas: Toffee‑toast, brioche, almond, pastry, light citrus and baked apple, with floral and subtle spice notes.

    • Palate: A refined mousse leads to flavours of honey, almond pastry, baked apple, lemon zest, and subtle brioche‑/yeast‑derived complexity. Balanced acidity adds freshness.

    • Finish: Long, elegant, with a combination of intensity and delicacy — noted for great length and refinement.

  • Versatility & Occasion: This wine is suitable for celebratory occasions, gifts, or premium everyday enjoyment — especially when you want an English alternative to Champagne.

  • Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with seafood (oysters, scallops, smoked salmon), lighter meats, creamy sauces, sushi, or lightly spiced dishes. Also works as an elegant aperitif.
